The Armory is located in the inner territory of the Moscow Kremlin. The first mentions of it are found in the chronicles of the first half of the 16th century. Despite its name, the Armory is not an arsenal at all, but an interesting museum filled with precious artifacts of antiquity. It contains not only a rich collection of weapons, but also ancient state regalia, royal clothes and household items of royalty - carriages, clothes, silverware. Here you will see exhibits that are impossible to pass by: the legendary cap of Monomakh, a symbol of the autocratic power of Russia, the real sabers of Minin and Pozharsky, the armor of Russian heroes, the coronation dress of Catherine I, the thrones of Russian tsars and empresses. The invariable interest of visitors is a double throne made for the young princes Ivan and Peter. Through a small door in it, the young rulers were prompted with the correct answers. It is impossible to list all the interesting exhibits of the Armory Chamber in a short description. The exposition of the museum presents: an extensive collection of silver and gold items, ceremonial weapons, precious fabrics and even items of ceremonial horse decoration.
