This very simple and short program allows to visit three very interesting old towns of the Golden Ring: Sergiev Posad, Vladimir and Souzdal in just 2 days and 1 night trip. You will visit the Trinity-Sergius Monastery, one of the most important spiritual and religious centers of ancient Russia, that is located at Sergiev Posad. The wonderfully charming and patriarchal small town of Souzdal will show you its medieval Kremlin and the museum of wooden architecture. And the town of Vladimir, that was once the capital of the middle Russia is famous for two amazing old cathedrals.

As an option, during this tour you can also visit the world famous gem of the Orthodox art – the Church of Pokrov-on-Nerl, located in 15 km from Vladimir.

Program

Day 1:

Your tour will start with the meeting with your guide and driver in Moscow. The transfer to Sergiev Posad will take about 1 hour. Here, you will visit the Trinity-Sergius Monastery and its Holy Trinity Cathedral, which was painted by the best Russian painters like Andrey Rublev and Simon Ushakov.
After the excursion you will have lunch and continue your way to the ancient Souzdal. Upon arrival, you will check-in to the hotel and after some free time will have dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 2:

Your second day of the tour will start with an excursion to the main attractions of Souzdal – the Kremlin with the Chamber of the Cross, and the famous local Museum of Wooden Architecture. After the excursion and lunch in the restaurant, you will drive to the city of Vladimir, where you will see the famous Golden Gates and the Uspensky and Dmitrievsky Cathedrals, among other masterpieces of old Russian architecture. In the afternoon you will be transferred back to Moscow.
